Collen Maluleke, a South African Gospel singer-songwriter, Pastor, and multiple award nominee, recently unveiled his latest album titled "Word + Prayer + Worship" in June 2023. This project is packed with songs deeply rooted in scripture, revealing personal revelations, and declaring God's goodness in Collen's life. All the songs, except for "Song of the Angels," written by fellow award-winning singer-songwriter Khaya Mthethwa, were penned by Collen Maluleke.

The complete "Word + Prayer + Worship" Project was recorded live at a chapel in Johannesburg and comprises 13 powerful songs. Listeners can anticipate anthemic worship songs like "Song of Breakthrough" and "Song of the Angels," along with uplifting praise tracks such as "Glory to God" and "Makombandlela" (which means "Way Maker" in Collen's mother tongue, Shangaan).

The album's title holds deep significance in Collen's personal journey, symbolising a full-circle realisation of his purpose. "Word" represents his pastoral calling and ministry as a preacher of God's Word, "Worship" embodies his role as a worship leader and musician, and "Prayer" signifies the crucial foundation that holds everything together.

The album's message highlights the utmost importance of these three aspects, which have played a vital role in Collen's growth and relationship with Christ. He explains, "These lyrics and melodies are not mere compositions; they are intentional messages aimed at enriching your connection with God as you listen and sing along."

Being a Pastor, Collen has observed how people often seek prophets rather than relying on the Word of God, prefer having hands laid on them instead of praying for themselves, and lean on their favourite worship leaders instead of wholeheartedly worshiping God themselves. Through this album, Collen endeavours to bring about a realization that everyone has direct access to God through Jesus Christ.
